My only active character is Maria Jones

About The Species

What alien species are you applying for?

Unathi

How does playing an alien differ from playing a human, and how will you represent this ingame?

Unathi are completely different from humans, if you play one of them they will react differently to different situations then a human possibly would. While playing as one you would want to think over situations and how they will react, keeping Unathi lore in mind.

Why do you want to play as the alien species?

The Unathi I have seen on the server seem interesting and different, and I think it would be interesting to make my second character a Unathi, if I pass this application. The Unathi lore I have read on the wiki also sounds rather interesting and I like the concept of different sentient species in sci-fi and fantasy worlds.

What are some example names for the alien species?

Some names such as Teindul Pecalees, Heedeeixth Tikeermesh and Akih'r Caleegoulus could be fitting, Unathi names. These names often have harsh consonants, long vowels at the front and short at the back.

Summarize what you know about the species.

Physically, Unathi are usually somewhat larger then humans, being around 2 meters tall on average. Being reptiles, they are cold blooded

and normally come in colors like green or yellow. (other colored Unathi do exist though). Eye colors other then golden brown are seen as rare and interesting to others of the species. Their heads vary quite a lot between individuals. Also they have tails.
Unathi are friendly, if a bit shrewd. The females are normally easier to anger then the males. They dislike bad deals going on.
Their home world is on a tilted axis, meaning the northern half gets more sunlight then the south. Most of the life on this planet is on the northern part and the planet itself is a bit bigger then Earth. There are large seas on the Unathi home world, although there are no big oceans. The equator region of their homeworld is a barren and arid place, and on the south half there are tundras. On the northern half there are jungles and lush life.
Early Unathi society is similar to that of Humans, but there was not conflict, they instead traded with each other. The species often worked together as a whole to help out others of their own. But later on wars started over trading right, those fighting were told they would get some of the profits. Now, in modern times  the Unathi are together under one "Planetary body". Though different nations still exist, their trade is watched by a governing body. This is made up of large Leaders and businesses. The Unathi do have an army, but they mainly fight for others for profit. More of the Unathi force are mercenaries though, which they are well known for. They will do almost anything where rewards outweigh risks.
Smaller Unathi companies have ties to large companies, at least until they can branch out on their own.
To sum it up, the Unathi are a rather business orientated race and like to do things to make a profit

Provide an example character bio for your xeno character.
I am thinking of the name Onasha Tikeerdesh for my character
She would be 43 years old and recently have traveled out to the frontier Hoping to make money. She would be more polite then most other females of her species.
She grew up on her homeworld, her family are engineers and from a young age she took on an interest in their work. She helped out working on machines when she was old enough, learning from her parents and from the engineering school she attended

Vox

How does playing an alien differ from playing a human, and how will you represent this ingame?
Playing a alien is very different compared to a human, because you need to know all the lore behind the alien and try to role-play its background as best as you can.

Why do you want to play as the alien species?
Because their lore seems very intriguing and it would be quite the story seeing a Vox on the frontier.

What are some example names for the alien species?
Chartiakichi, Tarjnina, Lexeinga

Summarize what you know about the species.

Most of the lore suggests Vox are wholly artificial and seem to recycle old tech found around the universe hoping to ride there way to a better civilization. Most of vox lifes are spent on arkships, giant spaceships that act as homes for most vox.

Siclingkakaka better known as Kaka is a Primalis with light brown feathers and a green tinge they tend to hang around card games other vox play.

How does playing an alien differ from playing a human, and how will you represent this ingame?

(Playing alien races brings a whole new challenge to the status quo of "Im a human i can relate to this" format and trying to relate to a species that is completely different is fun and exciting! And brings with it a new set of rules and lore to follow. It's easy to just play a human and do generic human things but when you have to take into account what species your playing then that's when it gets truly fun!)

Why do you want to play as the alien species?

(Well, i am new to Persistent Station. However, I am not a big fan of playing Humans in well really Anything. Im always of fan of worlds that have their very own and unique species of races. The Unathi themselves remind me heavily of a Tabletop character i made awhile back and honestly they just really resonate with me. Im not sure if it is the likeness to my old character or the amazing culture you guys have built around them. But in the end they are my favorite species i have read about from ya'lls world. And i would love to be a part of that.)

What are some example names for the alien species?

(Kaciz Zes'lin, Beknotiess Krass, Thaoxl Insthyr.)

Summarize what you know about the species.

(The Unathi themselves resemble alot of traits biologically of the classical Lizardmen that all you nerds know in love. Cold-blooded, Bestial, Traditionalist, Hard-scaled and Strong. You already know. However, where the Unathi differ and this is where the amazing creative minds who wrote the lore came in. Is the fact that culturally, The Unathi are not just Bestial Lizardmen. They are so much more. The Unathi have very diverse cultures depending on the areas of their planet they are born in. Much like human society operates. the difference is. The Unathi base what they are by the Clan that they are born in on their harsh and unforgiving world of Moghes.

The Unathi clans are scattered around the five different regions of Moghes. The Poles, The Savannahs, The Deserts, The Swamp beaches, and the Diamond peaks. The Clans born in each of these areas varies wildly in what they believe in and how the view the world and their faith. And even get into many disputes and wars with each other. The few things they do have in common though. Is the fact that every member born within the clan shares the clan name as their last name and carry it with them until death. They also all share the same clan structure of leaders which are the Kaahnepo and the Matriarch. The Kaahnepo is the head honcho of the clan. He decides everything from Diplomacy, The Roles of the men, Resource distribution, and trade in the clan and is chosen for life by the Matriach who puts him through a rigorous trials that are hand-chosen by his fellow clansmen to see if he is worthy to lead. The matriarch however, handles the women of the clan and the management of the clans homestead. the Matriarch also record the history of the clan in the Skein which is what records and keep tracks of the entire clans history.

All the clans seem to gravitate to five different tenets of faith depending on which of the five different regions they are born in. basic Unathi society has the core ideas of Growth and Rebirth. to expand and to be reborn. Yet depending on which of the five regions you are born in. you will find that these ideas are greatly expanded upon within Unathi Faith. These two core ideals can be expanded into four basic aspects. The World, The Species, The Individual, and the People. these four aspects guide and shape the many different Faiths found within Unathis clans and you will find alot of Faiths gravitate to these four aspects very differently.

The Hand of the Vine is the Faith most likely to be found worshiped by Unathi hailing from the Savannah's and the Deserts. This Nomadic group believe that the disaster that befell Moghes was a positive change that brought upon a "Rebirth" for the Unathi. that the way they treated their world before was careless and reckless. Most can be seen going around from place to place seeding the land. This clan is very feminine in nature and thus has less of a strong view of a primogenitor-esc clan system.

The Precursors are a group of Unathi who hail from the Deserts and Poles and place immense value with the technology left behind by the ancient precursors of the planet Moghes. They find and persevere anything left behind by this race and study it for the purpose of sparring their species from the same fate.

The Grand Strategem are Unathi who come from the more tougher and unforgiving lands of Moghes. The Deserts and Diamond Peaks. They believe in the aspect of becoming stronger and tougher from conflict. And this ideal can be seen by the fact that the clan often holds large gladiatorial battles in celebrations called the pits.

The Markesheli are Unathi that come from many different regions of Moghes and believe in the idea that Markesh survived the disaster that befell Moghes and found the first Unathi and when the Unathi had spread across the planet and fractured into many different Waring clans he left them displeased by this. The Followers of this faith believe that only by Suffering they can convince Markesh to let them into his paradise. Alot og the Unathi view the Markeshelites very unfavorably going so far as that the Unathi found within the Diamond Peaks would throw many followers into the pits to die.

The Fruitful Lights are Unathi from the Polar regions although some have been found outside these lands. These Unathi hold the idea of individualism to a high regard. Very much simulare to The Precursors and The Grand Strategem. They take heavy pride in what they do and create. Alot of followers are laborers and craftsmen who find solace working in their workshops or work stations. Depending on how well you work and create will determine what respect and prestige you will have in the clan.)

((Bear in mind this is based off Baystation lore, im not sure if y'all have your own specific lore or anything if you do i cannot seem to find it...)

Provide an example character bio for your xeno character.

(I had the idea of making a Albino Female Unathi named Rhisk Gresis. She is a very solum and kind Unathi who does not give into her aggressive nature all to often if she can help it (Although being a Unathi it can be somewhat hard) to the point she will probably warn you in a not hostile way if you are pushing her buttons. She grew up working in the mines at the Diamond Peaks and grew to love it as a teenager. Although the fact that she loves mining so much is very odd considering that she is a female Unathi and it does get her some strange looks by fellow clansmates and followers of the Fruitful Lights. However, this does not stop her from her passion. As she grew older however she found that mining at the Diamond Peaks had gotten stale and she yearned fro more adventure and to find a way to leave the planet of her birth. So she met with one of the Human mining guilds at the peaks and joined up on one of their mining ships traveling the galaxy mining where she could. She would have eventually found her way working for Nanotrasen (most likely when her contract with the mining guild wore out) She is going to have a very approachable and kind personality and will not actively seek out socializing but if approached she will not be disappointed and will be there to gladly help anyway she can. However, if shown to be dealing with a situation where the other person is being aggressive as reserved as she is. She might find it hard to not retaliate.)

About The Species

What alien species are you applying for?

Unathi.

How does playing an alien differ from playing a human, and how will you represent this ingame?

Playing an alien is entirely different than playing a human, that is because of the lore difference between the two. Playing an alien means telling a story in a completely different mindset, being an Unathi means reacting, acting, and interacting depending on what an Unathi's behaviour is, depending on their social, economic, moral and educational values. I'm going to represent this by roleplaying as an Unathi, remembering their history, values, and lore.

Why do you want to play as the alien species?

I want to improve as a roleplayer, I want to get out of my comfort zone, roleplaying as an Unathi, I want to play as the alien species to try new things, and to see how people react to my actions caused by my past, Unathi lore and psychology.

What are some example names for the alien species?

Kannesk Nissak, Vilsork Barresk, Ssalirk Mariik.

Summarize what you know about the species.

Unathi are large reptilian humanoids that are typically 2 meters tall, they are similiar to earth's lizards. They can be seen shrewd and forceful, but they are overall a friendly species. Their society values good business and trade, and are friendly when engaged in business ordeals, because they know that other species prefer that. They take great pride in their work, but they have quite a temper. An annoyed Unathi is an aggressive individual, and will not stay quiet if they get cheated in a trade. They grow nervous and uncomfortable when a bad deal is being made. Rather than competing for land, they started their society by trading between neighbours and nearby civilizations, the species was more cooperative with itself.

Provide an example character bio for your xeno character.
Kannesk Nissak was born in a family of traders, when he was little, he always played with other Unathi of the same age, years passed and he learnt the galactic common language, teached by the parents of one of his friends. He realized that all of his friends started searching for a job, something that they were really good at, and that they could have made use of it. He decided to start finding his talent to become independent and find a job, and he discovered that he had a talent for medicine. He really liked the function of the body, and decided to start practicing. Luckily, just two days after he discovered his talent, an injured Unathi was walking in the streets, when he told me to get in his house and to lay down the living room's table. The injured Unathi had a deep cut on his arm, and Kannesk Nissak immediatly knew what to do, he put ointment on the wound, sutured the cut, and cauterized it with a lighter. He was very prideful of what he did, and the other Unathi thanked him, telling him that his hands were steady and quick, and didn't feel alot of pain because of that. Kannesk Nissak continued studying and eventually he made a fame in his village, and he was getting some money. He learnt about the chemicals, about surgeries, and the equipment used on space stations, from some books. One day he decided that to have a succesfull carreer he had to go to the fronteer, he said one last goodbye to his parents, promising him to become a succesfull doctor, and went to the fronteer, ready for an entirely new world.

  Vat-Growns Lore Suggestions Thread
Posted by: Ursur - 10-23-2018, 08:45 PM - Forum: Lore Suggestions - No Replies

Let's have all your ideas and discussions for Vat-Growns and their place in the world of PS13 in this thread.

I'll start with a bunch of my own ideas that could make a base for their in-game lore. I won't put it in any specific order right now as I'm writing in on the go, spontaneously. Comments and criticism welcome. Excuse my occasionally strange grammar and errors, English isn't my L1.

 • The basic vat-grown design:

With the ground-breaking discovery of Phoron tens of years ago, a new world of possibilities opened up for the human race. Biology and medicine were among the fields touched by the scientific revolution, with seemingly miraculous new drugs and the cloning technology emerging and developing rapidly. Soon, cloning organs and even creating entire body copies, "Complete Corporeal Insurance" (CCI), was common practice in the civilized and developed systems, introducing a new kind of population boom. Regulations regarding cloning practices were relatively quickly becoming more and more relaxed, albeit staying within the boundaries of common sense.

By the time when the idea of an artificially-conceived and grown person would not outrage anyone but the most extremist, the vat-grown human project was already nearing its completion. The brightest minds of Collectum Medica, and interstellar organization dedicated to life sciences, developed a method where it was possible to produce an adult human being  using only specialized apparatus and no direct human involvement apart from obtaining gametes, in a quarter of the time required in the traditional process, and with a vast capability to alter the specimen in numerous ways (as in program for specific preferences and looks). After the public presentation of the project, it was instantly funded by various megacorps and authorities and fit for mass-scale use.

This undertaking had proven to be attractive and cost-effective enough (with a prospect of creating near-ideal, dedicated workers, idols and soldiers) to be quickly supplemented with the Vat-Grown Accelerated Schooling and Training (VAST), where the blank minds of new vat-growns would be prepared for their lives in the most efficient way possible. The program consists of a very intense schedule of profiled classes, developing social and personal awareness in controlled environments, and holographic/VR courses. VAST always varies depending on the destiny of a particular batch or model of vat-growns, and as such they are usually savants, excelling in their assigned area and being clueless and uncomfortable in any other, encompassing even every-day small-talk.

Physically, the base vat-grown model has been streamlined to the extreme, but is still highly customisable if one desires. Universal features are pale skin, a removed appendix and byzantine teeth nodes, and a delicate immune system, unavoidable or intended effects of artificial genome alteration. Lack of hair is prevalent among vatgrowns, especially bred for work in sterile environments, but on the other hand some are designed to have very prominent hairstyles.

Officially produced ones tend to have a very artificial look to them, with perfect body proportions and face symmetry. However, the ones grown in unregistered 'tuns' on backwater stations or 'slave factories' can look like a caricature of a man, with numerous ailments - hunched, squinted and so on. These usually aren't lucky enough to receive the VAST, neither, leaving them imbeciles, scary or at least awkward to interact with.

There are four main archetypes that Vat Farms (enterprises focused specifically on providing vat-grown humans, including the VAST) offer for their customers, further narrowed down when it comes to VAST afterwards, depending on the assignment in mind:

- WC (White-collar) Models, 'Smarts' [derogatory: Water Closet, braincase] - designed to do clerical, laboratory or otherwise mind-oriented jobs.

- Social Models - often molded to have an attractive body and/or personality, laborers of the services branch, entertainers. They receive extended VAST focused on social interactions. Some even happen to become psychologists or pop idols.

- BC (Blue-collar) Models, 'Manuals', [derogatory: ape, phisol] - dedicated to physical work; everything from construction to gardening. More prone to enjoy physical exercise, often reduced self-reflective abilities, robust metabolism.

- Combat Models [derogatory: goon, brute] - self-explanatory, designed as security guards or troops. A rather rare sight, even rarer as mercenaries, bodyguards or assassins. Always closely monitored by their supervisors. (I'd suggest avoiding this type as a playable character for an RP server, unless it's only a backstory. Still a potent ground for space-nam cliche or an edgelord, tread carefully.)

These are usually produced in batches of tens or even hundreds, depending on the demand at hand. It is also worth remembering that most Vat Farms are ready to provide custom models. Because of the industry-like nature of their creation, Vat-Growns tend to have a single name (usually the archetype name, for example Daniel) with a number added after a space or a hyphen (batch name or order name), in effect giving us something like Daniel 454, or Cassandra-03. Custom vat-growns sometimes get original, 'natural' names, as requested by the client. All officially-made vatgrowns bear a tattooed credential/ID on them, placement depends on the particular Farm. Most tattoo upper arms, some thighs or even foreheads. The ID consists of a date of conception, place of conception and the order id number, and it's usually a single line of letters and numbers, sometimes with hyphens or underscores.

Nowadays, vat-growns are still treated almost like a commodity in many civilized systems and public forums boil from discussions regarding their status in the eyes of baseline humans and other races. What they can do and what can be done to them is pretty vague and varies from place to place, as companies in possession have the liberty to regulate this on their own, which sometimes ends catastrophically.

Despite the inhuman ways of their conception, bringing up and later treatment, many manage to eventually recognize their situation, especially when working close to 'naturals' (as vatgrowns call their naturally-born and raised brethren). It is not uncommon to hear about models applying for citizenship or trying to buy themselves out of the company they were created for, even if it's not an easy task for them. In such instances, some decide to change their name to something 'natural'-like, but others bear their former names with pride. On huge stations or in planetside cities some even form organisations or gangs based on this common background. Most vat-growns coming to the frontier would be either self-liberated or escapees, or optionally sent by their overlords to complement the remote facilities.

In the end, being registered as a 'Dedicated Model' or not makes all the difference.

[Dedicated space for edits and additional ideas:]
-none for now-

My comments to the above:
 • Phoron could be easily replaced with any other substance here, but I think we need some 'wonder material' to make growing humans en-masse viable.
 • I am aware this is rather general, but I am able to add more details or specific names/dates if required in the future, and you can suggest yours too!

-         The requirement to wear the hazard suit would lean an individual to having an obsessive need to check their gear as well as ptsd systems as a result to their bodily changes.

Why do you want to play as the alien species?
-I find the condition and its mental effects to prime grounds for roleplaying a less stable, but still sane, character.

What are some example names for the alien species?
- Typically they retain their given human name before exposure but it is possible for them to forget their names and rename themselves based on something they became attached or associated with.

Summarize what you know about the species.
-         Humans afflicted with PRS, a result of prolonged unprotected contact with phoron. The condition has the effects of removing most of the subjects skin while also damaging the nervous system, a typical effect of burns but where PRS is poorly understood is the dependence on phoron that the subject develops their body having accommodated phoron into its remaining tissue. Afflicted experience a weakened muscular system and an acute immunity to toxins and illness. Despite these trade offs, the true indication of a person afflicted with PRS is their Environmental suit. Which is required to protect themselves from the oxygen that is now highly dangerous for them.

  Pashangwala Phorosian Application

About You
I am a 20 year old biology major studying to get into the National Forestry Service (United States). I love to roleplay and have been doing so on the internet for about 9 or 10 years. I typically play SS13 on Polaris, Colonial Marines, here, or Halo (Naval Combat is fun on SS13!). I learned to play on Baystation code so I'm very familiar with the mechanics. I am applying for Phorosian because my character was on Cythos Station during the time of its cargo bay's Phoron leak and explosion, as well as frequently entering the station's phoron engine to repair the walls while traces of phoron still remain in the air - I thought it would be interesting for Pash to become a victim of Phoron Restructurant Syndrome.

What is your Byond key?

How long have you been playing on Persistence?
Since I first saw it on the server list, I think a week or two ago?

What are the names of your better-known characters?
Beratna Pashangwala is my only character.
About The Species

What alien species are you applying for?

Phorosian. I'm not sure how to extend this to a paragraph.

How does playing an alien differ from playing a human, and how will you represent this ingame?

Xenos have different needs and respond to substances such as water and air in different ways than human. Pash will have difficulty re-learning skills, adjusting to Phorosian biology, and suffering from traumatic stress caused by memories of the explosion. Additionally, due to PRS often being the result of negligence on a station, Pash may suffer assumptions that he is a careless engineer and may have difficulty finding and maintaining employment.

Why do you want to play as the alien species?

I thought it would be interesting to take my character's presence in an event a step further, and would result in better story if they had to deal with a sudden and difficult lifestyle change. Pash, having quit his job on Cythos to avoid the dangerous workspace, will need to perform well at his new post on Shell Station, despite the condition impeding much of his skill memory and his job requiring much of him to bring the station to full operational condition.

What are some example names for the alien species?

The same as human names, as Phorosians are the result of a strange mutation of organic tissue. Not sure how to extend this to a paragraph.

Summarize what you know about the species.

Victims of PRS have a large amount of their body's tissue replaced by phoron, and as such develop a dependence on the substance to continue living; needing to breathe it as other lifeforms require air. Due to the drastic change of the body's biology and no longer having oxygen-carrying blood, Phorosians are immune to disease. Additionally, as the new tissues process compounds differently, Phorosians are immune to toxins. Being made of a highly flammable substance, Phorosians will spontaneously combust in oxygen - withering away as their body oxidizes into ash. Phorosians are also very weak and lack any nerves, due to substantial tissue degeneration during the process. Similarly, they do not need to eat.

Provide an example character bio for your xeno character.
Beratna Pashangwala began to undergo PRS after the leak incident, and was hospitalized. While there, memory loss resulted in him adjusting to adopt his nickname, Pash, as his first name and his first name as his surname - making him Pash Beratna. He also lost a number of engineering skills to the disease - particularly his experience in construction and electrical systems. After being deemed capable of working, he contacted his friend Joshua and arranged a job on his station, Shell, as a maintenance tech.

Answer the following scenarios and how you would deal with them to the best of your ability.

Q: An adminhelp comes in claiming that an individual is griefing a starter station, but the individual is taking part in an organized faction raid. How do you deal with the situation?
A:Well starter station shouldn't be really griefed as new peoples wouldn't be able to survive but if the griefing is not causing any damages than i would let him just RP it out

Q: An adminhelp comes in from an individual who had been killed by another player, claiming that the killer was not RPing and wasn't acting correctly, but the individual had previously kidnapped the killer and tied them to a chair in order to extort them. How do you deal with the situation?
A:First i could check logs and the person which broke the rules could get consequences

Q: An adminhelp comes in from an individual who claims that a griefer blew up part of their station and vented it. How do you handle the situation?
A:Well i check logs and if hes venting the starter station i could warn him to stop but if he continues i could give him an 2 day ban
but if the griefer is destroying their own made station i couldn't give him any consequences

Q: When interviewing several individuals after an incident, each of them have a different story about what happened. How do you find the truth?
A:I could check logs and ask other people on the server

Q: An adminhelp comes in from an individual who had been killed due to their cryo room being vented. How do you proceed?
A:I could help person who got killed and maybe try to alert others to fix it but if person made their own cryo room i wouldn't do anything

A:I will check the logs and observe and check whats the truth

A:I could give him an week ban and if he doesn't stop i will give longer ban

A:The player shouldn't ahelp any questions about game mechanic the use ooc or discord but i could also tell him to look on wiki

Q: A player claims that they were killed and their lace was lost during a restart. No one else can back up this claim, and logs are unavailable. How do you handle the situation?
A:This is an bug so i should report it to coders and maybe return the player some things

About The Species

What alien species are you applying for?
Unathi.

How does playing an alien differ from playing a human, and how will you represent this ingame?
Differences in culture and demeanor play a big part in how certain races play compared to others, as well as their speech patterns and general attitudes towards certain behaviors. You need to place yourself into a different creative field when playing as an alien, as you have to touch around and feel out exactly what makes the specific species tick in the ways that they should. What are their personal motivations that push them forward as opposed to a human? Questions like these push you to create something new and much more different than a human. In order to represent this, it would be commonplace to simply explore Unathi history in a way that would further flesh out the lines of what makes an Unathi an Unathi, and what sorts of ordeals, hardships and advantages they have over other races when it comes to economic, social, educational and moral values. I would explore these ideas with intent on improving not only myself as a roleplayer but on improving the server with the added cultural and economic view that my character would bring to the table historically and culturally.

Why do you want to play as the alien species?
Traditionally, on Baystation servers, I used to connect with Unathi quite a bit when it came to roleplay and theme. Generally, through my interactions on Persistence with the Unathi lore, I find it quite a bit easier to connect with than even the old Unathi lore that I am used to, and thusly would like to attempt pushing forward with the Unathi lore and attempting to figure out my place in its web that's being woven into the Frontier as Frontier Unathi culture.

What are some example names for the alien species?
V'ssuthi Jiila, Hiikk Buulisk, Karriis Ulaen

Summarize what you know about the species.
The Unathi are a proud people whose history revolves around their economic growth, growing from their humble beginnings to the trading empire they have become today. Slow to trust, but viciously loyal when they do. Focused on furthering their self gain and economic state has lead the species to not form a traditional military, but to hire together bands of armies from various joint trading companies into the main Unathi Coalition army. This promotes further relations between trading colonies and even further promotes economic growth - something the Unathi are all about.

Provide an example character bio for your xeno character.

V'ssuthi Jiila was borne to two mercenaries met together in the Coalition, forced to live a nomadic life as her parents were traded back and forth betwixt military troupes and bands. In all fairness, life on the military escort ships was pretty cushy, and all things considered, she was fairly spoiled in the grande scheme of things. Every new ship meant new foods to try, new drinks to steal and more folks to bargain with. Despite only being schooled by her militaristic parents, her demeanor and snarky attitude never wavered. All the way through to reaching her adulthood, she was enlisted voluntarily by her parents into the merchant convoy military, yet she still felt something to be desired. The people she was guarding were much more interesting - the folks with the money, the trade, the alcohol, the food. It was exhilarating, the thought of starting something that was hers - something that could make her dough and let her ride on the coattails of someone else's success! When the Frontier came to be, she hopped on the opportunity to push herself through the gate, promising her parents that she'd made a great Head of Security somewhere. Of course, she had other motives.
